Shasta Community Turns Out Writ Large For Halloween Celebration

It could’ve been 500–or it might’ve been 800; Either way, there was a tremendous amount of costumed kiddies dragging along their loved ones, who enthusiastically showed up for the 10th annual  Halloween celebration, held on Sunday October 26, 2025, inside in the big dining room of the Redding Elks Lodge.


It was a collaborative effort between the Redding Emblem Club 515 and the Redding Elks Lodge 1073, as explained by the event’s chairman, Dawn Pedersen, featuring a beaucoup array of “candy everywhere,” a bounce house, cotton candy, Halloween-themed music and free books urging—and educating-the kiddies to stay away from drugs.  There was even a tunnel of terror, plus the imposing, albeit affable……Leroy, the Giant Elk!
