The BLACK SHEEP GASTROPUB, recently opened for gastronomical delights inside the recently remodeled sports complex known as Big League Dreams in east Redding, was treated to a welcoming ceremony by the President of the Shasta County Chamber of Commerce, Nigel Skeet, its members and guests, including Redding Buzz (Jason Stovall) KQMS radio (Nick Gardner), Eat Shasta (Larry Ramsey) and the SHASTA UNFILTERED eNewspaper (Kari Chilson, Elisa Ballard and Jerry Sanchez, Sr.).

The BLACK SHEEP GASTROPUB, owned and operated by local restaurateur and realtor, Kenny Breedlove, has quickly established itself as the go-to restaurant for pub fare that is popular in England, Ireland, and America. It’s a full-scale restaurant that is helping to make the Redding Sports Park a destination, even if you’re not attending a sports event.
According to its Facebook page, the BLACK SHEEP GASTROPUB’s menu features a variety of options, including finger-lickin’ good chicken fingers, cheeseburgers with melted cheese, and hand/cut fries, plus kids’ fish options, with some awesome local flavor like Elwood Ranch Beef, R&R Meats, and Lulu’s Jams and Jellies. And, as Breedlove says, “The vibe is right, especially since we’ve added a game room, with games such as Jet Pong, and it’s all coming together for something special right here in our community.”

This special welcoming ceremony, which was held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, was also attended by the following Shasta County businesses and entities: Poke The Hornet’s Nest, Shasta Biz.com, Shark Law, Sundial Assisted Living, Big Bike WeekEnd, Hells Angels, Nelly’s Tasty Bread, Sovereign Marketing, Mary O’s Table Top Advertising, Upstate Hearing Instruments, A-1 Tree Service, Sunbelt Rentals, Hayward Auto Detailing, Suberama, Biggin’s
Lighting, Pizza Factory and Lions Den Corporation.

The BLACK SHEEP GASTROPUB is open Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 noon to 8 p.m. It’s open Sundays with hours varying. The GASTROPUB, located at 20155 Viking Way, Redding, 960O3, plans to extend its hours to seven days a week once it obtains its liquor license, which is expected in May, 2026.
