Shasta County voters participated in the Statewide Direct Primary Election and a special primary for Congressional District 1 on Tuesday, June 2.
These remain preliminary results. The June 6 evening update added more ballots. Estimated ballots still to be processed: 11,654. Official certification is expected in early July. All figures are unofficial and subject to change.

Summary
The June 6 update reinforces Shasta County’s strong conservative lean, with Republican candidates dominating State and federal races while significantly outperforming statewide averages. Joanna Francescut maintains a commanding lead for Clerk. Erin Resner holds a solid edge in District 1. Mike Gallagher leads in District 5 (runoff likely). Measure B continues to lead. James Gallagher won the CD1 special election decisively.
Statewide, Xavier Becerra and Steve Hilton are the projected top two for Governor heading to November, while Democratic incumbents are advancing comfortably in Attorney General and Controller races.
The next update is expected by 6:30 PM Sunday, June 7.
