Trump Demands Action as Feds Launch Multiple Election Fraud Probes in California Primaries

President Donald Trump is once again sounding the alarm on California’s notoriously slow and opaque election process, accusing Democrats of attempting to “steal” key primaries through delayed mail-in ballot counting. One day later, federal prosecutors confirmed they have multiple election fraud investigations underway in coordination with the FBI.
Trump’s Truth Social Warning
Late Wednesday night into Thursday, President Trump posted on Truth Social:
“The Dumocrats are at it again! They are trying to STEAL THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA PRIMARY, AND THE MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES PRIMARY, AWAY FROM TWO GREAT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES. Here we go with the very late and massive numbers of MAIL IN BALLOTS.”
In a follow-up post, he added:
“There’s BIG cheating by the Dumocrats in California. Votes are all tied up. May not be in for weeks. Under investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles. Why the vote counting DELAY???”
Trump highlighted how late-counted mail-in ballots were eroding leads for Republican candidates, including Steve Hilton in the gubernatorial race.
Federal Prosecutors Respond: “Multiple Investigations Underway”
On Friday, First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli (Trump appointee leading the Central District of California) publicly stated:
“Protecting the integrity of California’s elections is a top priority for my office. California’s election system has serious structural vulnerabilities. Universal vote-by-mail with no voter ID requirements creates conditions where fraud can go undetected and unpunished...”
Essayli confirmed:
Multiple election fraud investigations underway with FBI Los Angeles.
A federal prosecutor was sent to observe ballot processing in Los Angeles County.
Collaboration on a comprehensive audit of California’s voter rolls.
Essayli emphasized: “We will follow the evidence wherever it leads and prosecute any violations of federal election law to the fullest extent.”
