The City of Redding invites the entire community to celebrate Independence Day at the treasured Freedom Festival, set for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Redding Civic Auditorium grounds (700 Auditorium Drive). This free, family-friendly event promises an evening of food, live music, and a spectacular fireworks display — one of the largest in California.
Recent changes in the management of the Redding Civic Auditorium will not affect this beloved annual tradition. The Freedom Festival will proceed as planned, continuing to bring families and neighbors together for a memorable Fourth of July.
Event Schedule
5:00 PM – 9:55 PM: Food and concession vendors open. Enjoy dinner options, shaved ice, water, drinks, and more.
7:00 PM: Live music begins, setting a festive tone for the evening.
10:00 PM: The main event — a dazzling fireworks show featuring over 1,700 shells, produced by Pyro Spectaculars. A coordinating soundtrack will play on Q97 (97.3 FM), allowing attendees to tune in and experience the show in perfect sync.
