The Shasta District Fair returns to the Shasta District Fairgrounds in Anderson from June 17–21, 2026, bringing five days of classic fair fun, family entertainment, livestock shows, carnival rides, live music, food, and exhibits. This year’s theme, “Celebrating California – 175 Years,” honors the state’s rich history and vibrant culture.

As Shasta County’s largest annual event, the fair typically draws over 80,000–90,000 attendees of all ages. It’s the perfect summer tradition for families, friends, and fair enthusiasts.


Highlighted Schedule & Special Days

  • Wednesday, June 17 – $5 Dollar Day & Kids Day (12 & Under FREE) Gates open at noon. Perfect for families with discounted admission and free entry for kids. Livestock shows kick off early with sheep and goat exhibitions.

  • Thursday, June 18 – Senior Day (62 & Over FREE Admission) A great day for seniors to enjoy exhibits and entertainment.

  • Friday, June 19 – Regular fair day with full carnival and evening entertainment.

  • Saturday, June 20 – Patriotic Day (Veterans FREE with ID) Celebrate with patriotic vibes and peak weekend energy.

  • Sunday, June 21 – Sunday Funday (First Responders FREE with ID) Final day – wraps up with family-friendly activities (gates open at 2 PM).

General Hours: Most days noon–11 PM (buildings close earlier; check site for exacts). Parking is typically $7.
