The City of Shasta Lake Animal Shelter is beyond capacity and facing tough decisions. Three sweet, healthy, young dogs—Mocha, Gucci, and Conan—were originally scheduled for euthanasia this Thursday due to overcrowding. Thanks to a generous angelic sponsor, they've been given a short extension! This sponsorship covers spaying/neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and all related fees—leaving only a low $45 adoption fee.
These three are full of love, energy, and potential to bring endless joy to the right family. With the shelter still overflowing, time is extremely limited—please consider opening your heart and home to one (or more!) of these deserving pups. A meet-and-greet at the shelter is highly recommended to ensure a perfect fit, especially regarding compatibility with other pets or household members.
Meet Mocha

Meet Mocha, a sweet and gentle girl with a heart as big as her playful spirit! This 30-35 pound brindle beauty (Dutch Shepherd mix) is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than cuddling in your lap. She's a bundle of fun-loving energy—super hyper and excited as a young puppy for the first hour or so, then she settles right down into a calm, snuggly companion. Mocha is submissive around other animals and gets along well. With her short brindle-and-white/cream coat, friendly demeanor, and ray-of-sunshine personality, she's affectionate, gentle, playful, and ready to explore the world with her forever family. Could that be you? Come meet Mocha and let her warm your heart!
Meet Gucci

Meet Gucci, a loving and gentle girl who is sure to capture your heart! This 35-40 pound Lab mix is outgoing, excited, and absolutely obsessed with toys—she's always up for playtime! Gucci is affectionate, gentle, playful, and friendly, with a short gray/blue/silver coat that shines in the sun. She's still learning about the world and would thrive in a patient, loving home that can guide her growth. Gucci prefers the company of male dogs, so a meet-and-greet is a great way to confirm compatibility. This ray of sunshine will brighten any room (and your life) with her playful spirit and loyal soul. Is Gucci the perfect match for your family?
Meet Conan

Meet Conan, a joyful bundle of affection and fun! This one-year-old Labrador/Dane mix is a big, lovable boy weighing 80-90 pounds—and he's already neutered, so he's ready to go home right away! Conan is playful, silly, friendly, and a true cuddle bug who will keep you entertained for hours with his adventurous spirit and loving personality. He's shown no aggression toward other animals, but because of his size and energy, families with young children are not recommended (older kids would be ideal). A shelter meet-and-greet is the best way to ensure he's a great fit with your household. Conan has so much love to give—could you be the one to offer him his forever home and let him brighten your world?
