Mosquito Serenade (Summer!) 2026 just wrapped up its first concert of the summer, with Ashley Black performing for one hour and firing up thousands of attendees before one of Shasta County’s own, Chad Bushnell, took over the Sierra Pacific Industries Amphitheater Stage, at Anderson River Park…….and wowed everyone until nine o’clock.

They say in entertainment land, a good ol’ country time was had by all. The Mosquito Serenade is a popular performance and event venue in the small but mighty town of Anderson, which punches way above its weight and hosts concerts and music events year-round. The venue has hosted musical acts like The Spazmatics and The Outlaw Mariachis, offering a diverse range of music to satisfy just about everyone.
Mosquito Serenade is also an opportunity for everyone to strap on their dancing shoes. Nothing can keep them from “shakin’ a leg,” either, not even a concrete dance floor and temperatures often topping 100 degrees. And as they say in dance land: “Ain’t no stoppin’ us now……we’re in the mood". Mosquito Serenade has an active Facebook presence, where updates are posted about upcoming events and concerts. And in case you’re one of the scant few non-FACEBOOKers, here’s the remaining schedule for upcoming concerts:
June 24 - Life In The Fast Lane (Tribute to the Eagles)
July 8 - Neon Velvet (Dance Variety)
July 15 - Riff Raff AC/DC (Tribute to AC/DC)
July 22 - Cassie B (Variety)
July 29 - Lynsey And PRIME COUNTRY (Country Variety)
August 5 - Journey’s Edge (A tribute to Journey)
Wednesday Nights: Opening act at 6 p.m.; Headliners from 7 to 9 p.m.
Guess what: All this great entertainment, those super hot dogs and hamburgers, pizza even, maybe some cotton candy, thirst-quenching beverages, none of that would take place without the support of the City of Anderson and the loyal residents that come out every Wednesday evening during the season.
