Students can join in the celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary by submitting their unique artwork to Shasta County by May 29th.

Shasta County American Story Art Contest

Elementary school, middle school, and high school students in Shasta County are invited to submit artwork to the Shasta County American Story Art Contest offered by the Shasta County Administrative Office. Overall winners will be selected by grade group, and their artwork will be displayed at the Shasta County Administrative Center in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of America’s independence.  Winners will be recognized during the June 30th Board of Supervisors meeting, and prizes will also be awarded.

This contest is a way to celebrate patriotism, America’s independence, and the freedoms associated with it, and Shasta County’s part in the American story.  The theme for your artwork should reflect any of these ideas.
