The Pasinis (Jessi and Alessio) have continued sharing heartfelt updates on their son Lorenzo Leone Pasini (born February 5, 2026, at 26 weeks + 5 days gestation, weighing 2 lb 2 oz) since his premature birth. Their content across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok focuses on the NICU journey, with raw, emotional vlogs and short posts emphasizing progress, challenges, gratitude, and community support. Their followers are grateful for Jessi and Alessio’s posts and are praying for Lorenzo’s continued progress and growth. As an American of Italian descent, I was initially drawn to their humorous Facebook posts highlighting Alessio’s take on Americanized Italian cuisine and food preferences, as well as other cultural differences. Now, like millions of others, I have grown very fond of this couple and have been praying for them as they have endured many challenges in their journey towards parenthood. Here is what has happened since we last posted about them in SHASTA UNFILTERED.
Key Updates Since Early February 2026
Birth and Immediate Aftermath (February 2026): Emergency C-section due to recurrent bleeding/placenta issues. Jessi recovered well from surgery; Lorenzo was stable in the NICU. They posted a first-person "letter" from baby Lorenzo introducing himself, noting mom's fast recovery and his need to grow stronger before going home. They requested time to process before full details.
Birth Story Video (mid-February): Detailed recount of the delivery at 11:43 p.m., his tiny size, and initial NICU setup.
First 18 Days in NICU (late February video): Covered ups and downs from birth to around February 23 (reaching ~29 weeks corrected gestational age). Lorenzo was described as doing great overall despite typical preemie hurdles (e.g., breathing support, feeding, monitoring). They highlighted daily milestones like story time readings and nurse interactions.
Reaching the 30s (late February): Celebrated Lorenzo hitting 30+ weeks corrected (around February 24–28 posts/reels). Emotional reactions included tears of joy ("We are officially in the 30s!! 😭"), explanations of why they track gestational weeks post-birth (for medical/developmental context), and sweet clips of Lorenzo enjoying books/story time.
Special Moments: Received a touching letter from Maestro Andrea Bocelli welcoming Lorenzo, offering strength, and praising the community's role in giving him a "home" through support. They shared this gratefully.
Ongoing NICU Life (as of late February/early March): Focus on one week at a time, feeding progress, weight gain, and bonding (e.g., kangaroo care, reading aloud). No major setbacks reported in public updates; emphasis on his strength ("little lion" 🦁 theme) and their resilience after years of infertility.
Followers' Reactions
The community remains incredibly supportive and invested:
Massive views (hundreds of thousands to millions per video/reel) and comments filled with prayers, preemie parent encouragement (e.g., "My 26-weeker thrived after months in NICU"), congratulations on milestones, and admiration for their transparency.
Emotional responses to the Bocelli letter and gestational week explanations (some clarifying it's for tracking development, not implying he's still unborn).
Fans express feeling like part of the family after following the 6+ year journey—lots of "He's a fighter!" and well-wishes for continued progress toward discharge.
As of March 1, 2026, Lorenzo is still in the NICU but showing steady improvement in the "30s" weeks corrected. They continue posting regularly (e.g., new YouTube videos on NICU experiences), often going live or answering questions. Alessio and Jessi have shared that Lorenzo will probably need to stay in the NICU until sometime this summer, but the tone is hopeful and milestone-focused. Check their YouTube (@ThePasinis) for the latest full vlogs or Instagram/Facebook for daily reels.
