Millions of Followers Drawn Into the Pasinis’ Emotional Pregnancy Drama - Jessi and Alessio Pasini Welcome Baby Boy at Only 26+ Weeks Gestation

Alessio and Jessi Pasini are an Italian-American couple running the popular YouTube channel @ThePasinis, where they share content about cultural differences, food reactions, recipes, and personal life updates. Alessio was born in the United States but raised in Italy and Jessi is from Tennessee.  They met on a movie set in New Orleans, fell in love, and got married in 2019.  They have captured the hearts of their viewers by openly documenting their 6-year infertility struggle, including multiple IVF rounds, emotional challenges, and a high-risk pregnancy due to placenta previa.

Placenta previa is a condition during pregnancy where the placenta blocks all or part of the cervix and can cause bleeding.  Jessi was hospitalized about three weeks ago due to periodic bleeding.   Yesterday, the bleeding became heavy and Jessi was taken into the operating room for a c-section.  The most recent post from Alessio on Facebook welcomed their baby boy into the world on February 5.  Followers are anxiously awaiting updates on Jessi and the baby’s condition.

Timeline of Their Fertility and Pregnancy Journey

They began publicly sharing their IVF experiences in late 2024, building a supportive community across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

Usually very humorous and upbeat, the Pasinis’ content shifted heavily to raw, emotional updates during the pregnancy, emphasizing gratitude, faith, and the physical/emotional toll (e.g., hospital life, steroids for lung development, magnesium treatments).

Followers' Reactions

Throughout the journey, reactions across platforms have been overwhelmingly positive and empathetic. Fans have rallied with prayers, encouragement, and shared stories during IVF lows and pregnancy highs.  On the birth announcement (e.g., Facebook post), comments flooded with joy and relief  - many calling it a "miracle" after years of waiting.  Preemie parents have shared success stories (e.g., "My 26-weeker is now a healthy teen," "Born at 23 weeks and thriving at 51").  As a 26 1/2-week premie, the Pasini’s baby boy has a very good chance of survival. In high-resource NICUs, survival to hospital discharge for infants born around 26 weeks is generally 85–95%, with many recent sources reporting over 90% for 26 weeks specifically. The additional 5 days pushes outcomes closer to those at 27 weeks, where rates often exceed 95% with about a 20% chance of complications.  Millions of followers are praying and hoping the best for them.

UPDATE on February 7, 2026: Posted on The Pasinis' Facebook page: The baby's name is Lorenzo Leone Pasini and he is doing really well. Jessi is doing well too, recovering quickly from the surgery. They thanked everyone who has prayed for them and ask that the prayers continue. They plan to post the full story of the birth at a later date, but need some time to "get their heads a little more clear."
