Dutch Bros 2026 Caffeinate For A Cause Benefits Turtle Bay Exploration Park
Let’s say that you and your husband finish your shopping at the Walmart Super Center in Anderson when both of you can’t help but notice a long, wrap-around row of cars, pickups and vans in the drive-thru lane of the nearby Dutch Bros. “Whaddya’ think’s goin’ on,” you ask hubby Harold….who instantly replies, “Look at that sign, Maude, it says that the Dutch Bros in Anderson, Palo Cedro and Redding will donate one dollar, from every drink purchased between 7-9a and 2-4p today, to the Turtle Bay Exploration Park.”
No doubt the same thing happened at the Dutch Bros in Palo Cedro and Redding on Thursday, September 24, when the 2026 Caffeinate For A Cause annual event unfolded at three Dutch Bros locations in Anderson, Palo Cedro and Redding. “We might’ve had at least 200 cars roll through this Dutch Bros drive-thru in four hours, and that’s just right here in Anderson,” said Anderson mayor Dan Gallier, who, along with Anderson vice mayor Bonnie Simmons, Madeline Eason, and Angie Hawkins, served as Honorary Baristas.
In a joint statement, Gallier and Simmons had this to say: “We want to thank Dutch Bros for hosting this event at all their locations. The Resner family is very generous. Besides the hundreds of cars, pickups, vans (even motorcycles!), we saw many happy faces and excited kids. We had some fun Turtle Bay animals come visit—Tumbleweed, the Tortoise; Blueberry the Skunk; Shakespeare the Opossum and a snake. Anderson is an amazing community and it was truly an honor to be Honorary Baristas.”
Turtle Bay Exploration Park is a non-profit 300-acre gathering place that includes the iconic—and world-famous—Sundial Bridge, plus a museum, wildlife and forestry center, arboretum and botanical gardens, with nearly 10 miles of pathways and trails to explore.
Astonishingly, Turtle Bay cares for more than 50 living animal species, with a mission to provide “hands-on educational experiences,” inspire wonder and exploration, and help visitors develop a deep appreciation of the world around us.
