Anderson Chamber of Commerce Greeters, Over 50 Strong, Lay Out Welcome Mat For Redding’s RUSH Personnel Services

Have you ever walked into an office at eight o’clock in the morning, no less, and found wall-to-wall people, virtually shoulder-to-shoulder--dozens of them……..all happily chatting away like every one of them is an early morning person? If you have had that experience, you might’ve been attending an Anderson Chamber of Commerce “Greeters Meeting,” where dozens of business people, mostly Chamber members, all meet at a business that’s recently joined the Chamber to officially welcome them into the fold, so to speak.

One recent recipient to host this large contingent of greeters was the Redding office of RUSH Personnel Services, new members of the Anderson Chamber of Commerce. As explained by the Chamber’s Executive Director, Debe Hopkins, a Greeters Meeting is held every Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock for new members. “Everyone attending gets handed a microphone to describe their business, probably the best form of (effective!) networking, because, in the typical office, it’s so up-close-and-personal,” Hopkins explains. And according to Hopkins, the Anderson Chamber of Commerce strives to promote the Anderson area as an economic, educational and recreation center and its mission is to enable the public and private sectors to improve productivity and provide membership services and networking opportunities.
