It all began at five o’clock on Friday (9-18) at South City Park with it being the Paesano Days 2026, brought to us every year by the Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, Shasta Lodge #2453. A spaghetti dinner was served with pesto or meat sauce, salad and garlic bread included, with the Bocce Tournament from 6 to 9 p.m. The following morning, Saturday, September 19, the Bocce Tournament resumed and a Show and Shine Car Show, sponsored by the local Shasta Classic Car Club

You don't want to miss the authentic Italian food served up by the friendly Sons and Daughters of Italy club members at South City Park in Redding. This is a yearly fundraising event for the group that is involved in many philanthropic activities in town. They cook up the meat sauce from scratch just like mamma used to make, and you won't be disappointed! There will be raffle prizes, a silent auction, vendor and craft booths, a bocce tournament, and classic cars on Saturday

Man, sometimes I wanna’ toss my smart phone into the nearest dumpster. But early Sunday morning, April 19, 2026, my frustration turned to elation when it flashed on the screen that the Redding Grange #446 was having its first-ever brunch, featuring a breakfast casserole, sausage, country potatoes, biscuits & gravy, a fruit cup, coffee, and juice. YUM! “Honey,” I called out to my lovely wife, Cheryl, “grab your coat, we’re goin’ to the Redding Grange to not only have brunch, b
