Redding, CA – On Wednesday, the Redding Police Department announced on Facebook the arrests of three local men following a joint investigation with the Sacramento Area Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
The suspects face charges related to the possession, production, and/or distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), commonly referred to as child pornography.
The names of men arrested are Sebastian Holmes, 32 years old of Redding, Logan Norris 23 years old, of Shasta Lake, and Travis Barnes 23 years old, of Redding.
In a press release authored by Detective Saelee of the Redding Police Department, the content seized in these cases was described as “horrific.”
“The images and videos from these cases… included the sexual abuse of babies, toddlers, elementary-aged children, prepubescent children, and young teenagers,” Saelee wrote. “Some of these cases contained hundreds of media images and videos.”
Detective Saelee emphasized the ongoing commitment of his unit, stating:
“The HTCU detectives work tirelessly and diligently on these cases throughout the year. We know these are not isolated events. We know there are predators in our community. We will find you. We will arrest you, and you will be prosecuted.”
Anyone with information related to these cases or other potential child exploitation offenses is urged to contact the Redding Police Department Hi-Tech Crimes Unit or the Sacramento ICAC Task Force.
