In a powerful victory for child safety, the FBI revealed that "Operation Home for the Holidays" – a two-week, multi-agency effort led by the U.S. Marshals Service – successfully located and recovered 122 missing and endangered children aged 23 months to 17 years across 10 states.
FBI Jacksonville played a pivotal role in the effort, safely bringing home 22 of those children. This collaborative effort with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (@JSOPIO) and many federal, state, and local partners and agents, turned the holidays into a true homecoming for some of our most vulnerable kids.
“Protecting our children is at the core of the FBI’s mission,” the agency emphasized. “This operation demonstrates what can be accomplished when #YourFBI and our local, state, and federal partners come together with a shared commitment to safeguard our youth."
