QB Wyatt Shaw’s passing prowess, plus a smothering defense (3 interceptions!) deliver California State 7-AA football Championship to Redding Christian High School

On November 26, 2025, the Redding Christian High School football team won the league CHAMPIONSHIP; then the Lions went on to capture the Division 5 Section CHAMPIONSHIP; their next football game had them winning the CHAMPIONSHIP.

What happened next could easily be called a football “dream-come-true,” as the Redding Christian High School Lions, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Fullerton High School Football Stadium, defeated the Woodbridge Mustangs (of Irvine), 16-0, to become California State 7-AA CHAMPIONS.

So as the celebration continues, not only in Palo Cedro, California, where the Redding Christian High School campus resides, the Shastaunfiltered.com newspaper staff is elated to join all of the Shasta County citizenry in offering heartfelt congratulations to Lions head coach, Gerald Piper, his coaching staff, the RCHS student body, and administration headed by Principal Brian Steffan—and last but certainly not least:  Our Father In Heaven.
