Pet of the Week: Gem & Topaz

This week’s spotlight shines on two stunning sisters from CATZ and DOGZ of The North State: Gem (left) and Topaz (right).
These three-year-old girls are the last remaining members of a litter rescued from an RV park alongside their mother, who had endured years of repeated litters. The mama cat was half-starved and struggling to produce enough milk for her five babies. The family was fortunate to be taken in—many others in similar situations are not.
Both cats possess striking, large, round blue eyes that suggest possible Himalayan heritage.
Gem is a beautiful Blue Point mix featuring unique marbling along both sides of her body.
Topaz is a lovely Lynx Point mix with distinctive markings and a developing Ragdoll-style mask.
Born on Easter (March 31), the sisters are fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and regularly treated for worms and fleas. Described as total love bugs, they are affectionate, playful, and good with well-mannered small dogs.
