Patriot Games 2026: Investing in America’s Next Generation of Leaders

As the United States prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, a new national competition is stepping forward to honor and invest in the country’s future. The 2026 Patriot Games, organized by Freedom 250, will bring together exceptional young Americans ages 14–17 from every state, territory, and Tribal Nation.

The event, set for August 9–11, 2026, will feature athletic challenges designed to test strength, speed, resilience, teamwork, and leadership—core qualities that have defined American excellence for generations. Athletes will arrive August 7–8 to compete in a showcase of determination, hometown pride, and national unity.

Scholarships and National Spotlight

One male and one female champion will each receive life-changing support from a $250,000 scholarship prize pool. The competition will stream on the ESPN App, with highlights culminating in a primetime special on ESPN on ABC on Thursday, August 13.

Secretary Kennedy highlighted the significance of the Games in a recent statement:

The 2026 Patriot Games will bring together exceptional young Americans from every state, territory, and Tribal Nation to compete in challenges that test strength, speed, resilience, teamwork, and leadership. America’s future belongs to those who step up to lead. We can’t wait to welcome the next generation to the 2026 Patriot Games.”

Applications Now Open

Young athletes interested in participating can apply now at https://freedom250.org/patriot-games. Applicants must submit eligibility details and a short video sharing their story and why they want to compete. A selection committee will review submissions and advance finalists through additional screening.

The Patriot Games are part of a wider series of events marking America’s Semiquincentennial, aimed at inspiring the next chapter of the American story through competition, character, and opportunity.
