Saturday is a Big Day in Shasta Lake: 32nd Annual Lions Veterans Day Parade Approaches

Shasta Lake is buzzing with anticipation for the 32nd Annual Lions Veterans Day Parade, California's second-largest honor for our heroes. On Saturday, November 8, 2025, join thousands at 10:00 a.m. along Highway 151 and Shasta Dam Boulevard for a day of patriotism under the theme "Yesterday / Today / Tomorrow: Honoring Our Veterans." Grand Marshal Sgt. Dave Thompson, a retired U.S. Air Force Medic, leads the way.

Highlights of the Day

  • Pancake Breakfast (7–10 a.m.): All-you-can-eat at Shasta Lake Fire Hall—start with community spirit.

  • Parade (10 a.m.): Free entry for floats, bands, and more—register by November 3 at Claire Engel Park.

  • Luncheon (Post-Parade): Gather at American Legion Post 720 for shared stories and thanks.

This tradition, powered by Lions Club volunteers like Ronda Bishop and Ed Cuellar, reminds us of service's timeless impact—no politics, just pure gratitude.

Download your entry form from the City of Shasta Lake website and join in. Let's fill the streets with flags and cheers—see you there!
