Shasta Unfiltered has received a submittal from a concerned citizen from the Shasta Lake City community All information and opinions in this letter are those of the person submitting it. It does not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of Shasta Unfiltered or any of its staff. Submittal: From: Charles Tomlinson I was threatened by Shasta Lake City employee Benjamin Q. Perry, ID number 353 at my home in Shasta Lake. Mr. Perry threatened me both physically, and he threatened me with an act of retaliation, which he followed through on. Mr. Perry threatened to "Go hands-on and take you down" over a $3 expired dog license. I am a senior citizen and about half this oaf's size. His Supervisor, Shad Boone is not willing to investigate my complaint, and in fact Mr. Boone committed an act of retaliation against me on his own initiative. This is the most recent assault on me and my property by the City of Shasta Lake. It is clear after speaking with Jessica Lugo, city manager of Shasta Lake that the corruption and open contempt for its Citizens in the City begins at the top and goes all the way down to the dog catcher. I have had my identity stolen by Mrs. Charity Tatlow, a city clerk who left a drunken voicemail on my business phone about traffic on Autumn Harvest Way. I was not home at the time, so in her drunken stupor she accessed my business license and obtained my personal information, causing me to change my business phone and banking information. Code Enforcement employee Brian Trudeau filed 4 false inspection reports on my property over the years. Ms. Lugo seemed to be amused by this constant harassment and was completely unwilling to address the issue. If you have had similar experiences with city employees in Shasta Lake City, please let Shasta Unfiltered know.
