Trump Hails Historic Unity in Middle East Ahead of Ceasefire Trip

Washington, D.C. – October 12, 2025 –

President Donald Trump delivered an optimistic press statement just before boarding Air Force One for a landmark trip to Israel and Egypt, celebrating what he described as unprecedented unity across the region following a U.S.-brokered Gaza ceasefire deal.

Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Trump highlighted massive crowds in Israel and widespread enthusiasm from Arab and Muslim nations, calling it a "very special event" that has brought former adversaries together in celebration. "They had 500,000 people yesterday and today in Israel and also the Muslim and Arab countries are all cheering," Trump said. "Everybody’s cheering at one time. That’s never happened before. Usually if you have one cheering, the other isn’t. ... Everybody is amazed and they’re thrilled."

The remarks come amid reports of a massive rally in Tel Aviv, where hundreds of thousands gathered to mark the impending release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas since the onset of the conflict two years ago. Crowds at the event reportedly cheered Trump's name, underscoring his role in negotiating the fragile peace agreement that includes aid relief and a halt to hostilities.

Trump's journey, which includes an address to Israel's Knesset and a peace ceremony in Egypt, arrives at a pivotal moment for the Middle East. The president views the deal as a rare opportunity to reshape regional dynamics and strengthen ties between Israel and its Arab neighbors. "It’s an honor to be involved," he added, expressing confidence that the trip will yield "an incredible time, something that has never happened before."

As Air Force One lifts off, the world watches closely to see if this wave of optimism can translate into lasting stability.
