Pet of the Week: Meet Moxie — A Loving Girl Who Needs a Home Now
Moxie is a sweet, energetic Border Collie/Terrier mix who is only about two years old and full of personality. She lights up during playtime — fetching, racing around the yard in zoomies, and diving into a pile of toys with pure joy. When the energy winds down, she is just as happy to crawl into someone’s lap for cuddles and affection. She is a true love bug who thrives on attention and human connection.
The shelter notes she may have already had a litter, but that chapter is over. She will never be used for breeding again. What she needs now is simple: a soft bed, a basket of toys, and a family who loves her for who she is.
Important update from the shelter: The City of Shasta Lake Animal Shelter is full after five more dogs arrived. Moxie is now at risk. She does not do well confined to a kennel, and the stress of shelter life is taking a toll. Outside, she is all smiles; behind the kennel doors is a different story. She deserves better than another day waiting.
