Local Pro-Life Clinic Relocates Across from Abortion Center in East Redding

Northstate Care Clinic offers free ultrasound imaging to pregnant mothers along with other assistance.

The Northstate Care Clinic is relocating from a rented location on Athens Avenue near Cypress to a purchased building on Victor Avenue in East Redding which was previously a chiropractic office. As reported on KRCR’s news broadcast and website[i], Executive Director Kirsten Lapp considers this location to be a “God location”. They will be located across the street from Women's Health Specialists, an abortion provider.  

Planned to be open at the new location in January 2026, the upgraded medical facilities will allow the clinic to provide:

• Free, verified pregnancy tests

• Free ultrasounds across all three trimesters

• Parenting education and Learning for Life classes

• Relationship counseling

• Material aid including cribs, diapers, strollers, and other family supplies

Lapp feels that it was divine providence that the building was up for sale right across from the abortion clinic just when they were looking to relocate. She said, “We are happy to be able to offer hope services right across from a place where abortion is immediately offered, and women can come over and receive love and compassion, options, counseling and support and be offered immediate hope instead of immediate abortion.”

Time will reveal how these two operations with very different agendas will fare in such close proximity. Many women are motivated by the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy to consider having an abortion and may feel that they have no other option. Lapp is hoping to offer them a compassionate and helpful alternative.
