Today marks the Semiquincentennial — 250 years since the Declaration of Independence.
The centerpiece national celebration is the Salute to America on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., featuring military flyovers, performances, presidential remarks, and the largest fireworks display in American history.

Location: Washington Monument Grounds / National Mall.
Schedule highlights (all times ET):
Daytime activities (Great American State Fair, performances, military flyovers): Begin around 1:00 PM.
Guest entry / gates: From 1:00–5:00 PM (RSVP required for the main evening area).
7:00 PM: Salute to America live program begins (Joint Armed Forces Orchestra, musical performances, historical tributes).
9:45 PM: President Donald J. Trump delivers remarks.
~10:30 PM: Record-breaking fireworks display (launched from multiple sites, described as the largest in U.S. history).
