Clint Curtis, the current Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters (ROV), hosted a fundraising dinner for his 2026 election campaign on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Anderson VFW Hall located at 3210 W. Center St., Anderson, CA 96007. The event focused on supporting "elections every citizen can trust," with doors opening at 4:00 PM and dinner served at 6:00 PM. It featured a catered meal by Rocking P BBQ and a live auction. Ticket prices were $45 for individual admission and $350 for a table of eight. The fundraiser was organized as a cashless event in compliance with Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) guidelines.

The event was very well attended with a real "Who's Who" among Shasta County politics and citizen patriots. The Master and Mistress of the ceremony for the event were our very own Patrick and Lori Jones. There were many beautiful items donated for the auction, along with some amazing gift baskets for the raffle. Approximately 300 people attended the event, and based on the lively auction conducted by a 17-year-old auctioneer, we are sure Curtis raised much-needed funds for his campaign.
During the ceremonies, Bev Gray was honored with an award for her tremendous volunteer efforts to support voter integrity issues in the County.

Curtis is drawing state-wide attention for the stunning reforms he has implemented in Shasta County. He has reconfigured the offices where votes are stored and counted, ensuring a much tighter chain of custody control, and equipped them with sophisticated high-definition cameras that provide real-time citizen oversight of all vote-counting activities. All ballots undergo multi-stage reconciliation checks (incoming, after transfer to tabulators, and after tabulation). Many other California counties are now adopting his model.

Curtis is running against Joanna Francescut, the former Assistant Registrar of Voters in Shasta County. Francescut was terminated shortly after Clint Curtis was appointed to fill the vacancy left by the health-related resignation of former Acting ROV, Tom Toller. Upon Curtis's arrival, he noted several lapses in process at the ROV offices related to the custody and control of ballots, as well as significant inconsistencies between the number of ballots counted and the number of ballots issued. He subsequently referred the issues to the Department of Justice (DOJ), which has yet to respond. Curtis's opponent, Francescut, held her own fundraiser on February 13, drawing about 200 attendees.
