Terry Rapoza's Must-Listen Talk Show on KCNR
In the heart of Northern California's rugged landscapes, where the spirit of independence runs as deep as the rivers and as bold as the mountains, one radio show stands out as the voice of the North State: Jefferson State of Mine on KCNR Free Fire Radio.

Hosted by the passionate and outspoken Terry Rapoza, with co-hosts Win Carpenter and Janet Chandler, this weekly program is more than just talk radio—it's a rallying cry for the State of Jefferson movement. Every Sunday from 9 to 10 AM on 96.5 FM and 1460 AM, Rapoza, Carpenter, and Chandler deliver unfiltered insights, sharp analysis, and fiery discussions on the issues that matter most to rural Californians: government overreach, fair representation, economic freedom, and the dream of a new state carved from the forgotten counties of the North.
Terry Rapoza, Win Carpenter, and Janet Chandler: The Unyielding Voices of Jefferson
Terry Rapoza is not just a host; he’s a lifelong advocate and a leading figure in the State of Jefferson movement. With his powerful voice and no-nonsense approach, Rapoza represents those overlooked by Sacramento's elites. He is joined by Win Carpenter, a dedicated pioneer, and Janet Chandler, a passionate activist who brings valuable insights and grassroots energy to the show.
What makes Jefferson State of Mine unique is its popular call-in format, which fosters lively discussions, akin to gathering with friends and neighbors to discuss pressing issues. Listeners from across the region share stories, debate policies, and connect over their shared vision for Jefferson, creating a warm, community-oriented atmosphere.
Fresh from the Archives: The February 15th Episode – A Powerhouse of Insight and Action
If you missed the live broadcast yesterday, don't worry—the February 15th episode is now available in the archives! Head over to KCNR's archives page to download and dive in. This week's show focused on the upcoming elections for the District 1 and District 5 County Supervisor races. They did a walk-through of the candidates. They noted that the candidates for District 1 include Kevin Crye, the incumbent; Erin Resner, currently on the Redding City Council and a former opponent of Crye; and Rich Gallardo, another solid conservative. They also noted that during Kevin's tenure, he secured support for a medical school in the area. Terry pointed out that's great, but it won't yield results for 15 years or more, and we have a problem now.
The conversation certainly became lively when discussing Erin Resner's resume with the City Council. They were also very complimentary of Rich Gallardo's work ethic. A caller to the show quickly pointed out that Rich could split the vote, weakening Crye's ability to retain his seat, paving the way for Resner to win District 1.
The conversation then turned to District 5, where the candidates include incumbent Chris Kelstrom, Gary Oxley, and Mike Gallagher. The moderators were mutually appreciative of Kelstrom's commitment to the County and willingness to work on issues that go across districts. They noted that Gary Oxley speaks well and speaks with conviction about his beliefs, but if elected, he will be learning on the job. The third candidate is Mike Gallagher, who is currently on the Anderson City Council. Oxley needs to speak more specifically about what he wants to achieve in the district.
Be sure to tune in to future episodes, where they intend to bring some, if not all, of these candidates on the show to speak directly to the constituents.
