Community Dedication Honors Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department
Red Bluff Elks Lodge #1250, Redding Emblem Club #515, and Amber Mae Studios united to host the 1st annual Spaghetti Feed & Flag Dedication for the Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department.
You wouldn’t think that a smallish (pop. 14k+) city like Red Bluff, California, would have an Elks Lodge capable of hosting a very large number of locals, particularly families, not only for just a Spaghetti Feed, but also because it afforded a number of opportunities for attendees, such as “catchin’ up” with life-long friends, gettin’ to know members of the Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department, meeting’ new friends, the list goes on, huh?
But that’s exactly what happened on August 30, ‘26, when the Red Bluff Elks Lodge #1250 provided their very large dining hall to the general public, with the Redding Emblem Club #515 and Amber Mae Studios hosting, for a ten-dollar-a-person Spaghetti Feed, with all proceeds slated for the Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to the Spaghetti Feed, a Flag dedication took place outside of the Red Bluff Elks Lodge. Here is how Redding Emblem Club member, Carol Harter, describes how the Spaghetti Feed and Flag Dedication came to fruition:
“The Redding Emblem Club #515 partnered with the Red Bluff Elks Lodge to support the Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department. We make a yearly donation to the Red Bluff city flag. This year we learned that the flagpole was not in need of a monetary gift. However, we did hear that the Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department’s flag was old—dirty and tattered. It needed to be replaced, so the Redding Emblem Club #515 purchased the new 20’X30’ flag.”
Harter continues: “We then learned that the Red Bluff Volunteer’s Fund was also in need of more donations. A phone call to Rhonda Slay and Shasta Canty, the Red Bluff Elks’ Exalted Ruler and Building Manager, respectively, was all it took, and the 1st-annual Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser was born.” Harter concluded.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us for the flag dedication and Spaghetti Feed fundraiser for the Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department. The Red Bluff community, indeed Tehama County, plus Cal Fire and PHI Air Med Helicopter showed up in a big way. The generosity, the raffle prize donations from local Tehama County businesses, and the tireless work of the Red Bluff Elks volunteers and the Redding Emblem Club volunteers, plus Amber Mae Studios, made the Spaghetti Feed & Flag Dedication a critical success. Firefighter volunteers and neighbors are the heart of all of the North State, especially right here in Tehama and Shasta counties,” concluded Exalted Ruler, Slay, and Building Manager, Canty.
