Audette Opens Re-Election Campaign, Emphasizes Trust and Transparent Government

Spencer James Confectioners in downtown Redding served as ground zero on Tuesday, August 4, 2026,  for the official launch of first-term  Redding City Councilman Tenessa Audette’s re-election campaign.  Despite the 100+ degrees heat, dozens of Audette’s supporters cozied up in the boutique-ly cozy surroundings to hear her welcoming remarks, which included the following:

“One of the first things I learned is that good government doesn’t happen by accident.  It requires preparation, persistence and the willingness to ask difficult questions.  I’ve also been reminded that trust is earned every day.”

Councilman Audette continues:

“Whether we’re talking about public safety, the budget, or helping a resident navigate City Hall, people deserve leaders who are accessible, honest and willing to do the work.  That’s the standard I’ve tried to hold myself to, and it’s the standard I’ll continue to bring if I’m fortunate enough to earn another term.”

Councilman Audette concludes:

“I genuinely love serving this community.  I want to continue building a city government that is transparent and focused on making Redding the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
