Shingletown Founders Day Parade & Sawdust Festival Returns for a Day of Family Fun on August 8th

Shingletown is gearing up for its biggest community celebration of the year — the Founders Day Parade & Sawdust Festival — set for Saturday, August 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Shingletown Library, located at 7074 Wilson Hill Rd. (corner of Hwy 44 and Wilson Hill Rd.).
This beloved annual event brings together locals and visitors for a full day of entertainment, shopping, and nostalgia.
Attendees can look forward to:
65+ Vendors offering unique goods, crafts, and more
Live Music throughout the day
Delicious Food Vendors and Cold Drinks (including adult beverages)
Kid’s Games & Prizes
Raffles
A Living History Area
Duck Races in the creek
And plenty of family-friendly activities
The highlight of the day is the Founders Day Parade, which kicks off at 11:00 a.m. along Alpine Meadow. Kids are encouraged to bring a bag to collect all the candy that will be tossed from parade entries!

Organizers are actively seeking more vendors and parade entries to make this year’s event even bigger and better. Whether you have a business, craft, food truck, or a fun parade idea (floats, marching groups, classic cars, etc.), now is the time to get involved.
