Once again, the Shasta Lake Lions Club came through with flying colors as the 32nd annual Shasta Lake Veterans Parade took center stage on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Organized by Lions Club members Ronda Bishop and Ed Cuellar, the parade snaked along Shasta Dam Boulevard and Highway 151, with Grand Marshall Sgt. Dave Thompson, a retired Air Force medic, leading the way.
As the 2nd largest honor for our heroes, with the theme “Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow: Honoring Our Veterans,” the festive event unfolded on a picture-perfect warm and sunny day and featured 125 entrees, including the Patriot Guard Riders, Shasta Veterans Escort, Coalition of Veterans Enlisted And Retired, Missing In America Projects, Sons And Daughters Of The American Revolution, Redding Veterans Home Support Committee, Shasta County Veterans Service Office, American Legion Post 720, Army Recruiting Station, WW11 Veterans, Korean War Veterans and Wild West Sisters, among many others.
With the Shasta Lake Firefighters Association hosting a pre parade pancake breakfast, and the American Legion Post 720 serving a post parade lunch, the day proved memorable and satisfying for an estimated 2,000+ parade aficionados.
