NCS Shasta County Town Hall Set for October 17 in Redding
New California State (NCS) will host a Shasta County Town Hall on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel Redding, 1830 Hilltop Drive.
Organizers say the meeting will cover the past, present, and future of the New California State movement and provide the latest updates on activity in Shasta County. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.
According to the group’s website, New California State is a movement seeking to form a new state from parts of California. Supporters cite the Declaration of Independence and Article IV of the U.S. Constitution, including the guarantee of a republican form of government. They argue that the current California government is not lawful under the state’s original 1849 compact constitution and point to the West Virginia precedent as a model. Their stated goals include restoring a republican form of government, reducing regulation, encouraging a free-market economy, and addressing what they describe as wasteful spending and high taxes.
Registration is encouraged so organizers can plan for space. The registration link is available at newcaliforniastate.com/events-1/ncs-shasta-county-town-hall-3
Walk-ins are also welcome.
