Turning Point USA Continues to Grow After Founder Charlie Kirk’s Death.
2.4 million Bibles were sold last month and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) spokesperson, Andrew Kolvet, confirmed to Fox News that their number of church affiliates has grown from 4,000 to 8,000 nationwide, as well as 200,000 more people having signed up to become involved with their organization. Charlie Kirk’s assassination on September 10th has sparked an increase in church attendance and an increase in social media comments from people who say that Charlie re-inspired their Christian faith. TPUSA is putting together a musical show to be aired as “The All-American Halftime Show” celebrating faith, family, and freedom on February 8, 2026. The decision to provide an alternative halftime show came after the Super Bowl LX announcement that three-time Grammy Award winner, Bad Bunny, would be performing.
Republicans Hopeful that Democrats Will Come to their Senses and Vote to Reopen the Government.
The Continuing Resolution (CR) to keep the government open needs 60 votes in the senate to pass. So far, the Democrats have voted against it 11 times, apart from Senator John Fetterman, Democratic Senator from Pennsylvania, who says it’s embarrassing that the government is still shut down like this. Day 22 of the shutdown leaves many government workers and the military working without pay, including 13,000 air traffic controllers. A week ago, President Trump said he identified funds to ensure the active military gets paid on October 15th. U.S. House Speaker, Mike Johnson, remarked today that “This is the second longest government shut down in the history of the U.S., and this is the first time that a party has shut down the government over a clean, nonpartisan CR funding bill.” President Trump remarked that “The Senate Democrats need to vote for the clean, nonpartisan CR and reopen our government.” He also stated he will “never cave to Schumer [Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer of New York] and never allow taxpayer dollars for illegals.” The Democratics put together their own CR, adding 1.5 trillion dollars to the bill to pay for healthcare for illegal immigrants. Schumer posted on his X account that “The American people are experiencing a healthcare crisis because of the Republicans.” – Posts on X by Speaker Mike Johnson, Senator Chuck Schumer; Reports by FoxNews, TheHill.com
