Timing is everything. On the very same day that Aimee Bock, the convicted ringleader of the infamous Feeding Our Future $250 million fraud scheme, was sentenced to over 41 years in federal prison (500 months), the Department of Justice dropped fresh indictments against 15 defendants in new fraud schemes totaling over $90 million.
Federal prosecutors announced charges targeting Medicaid-related programs including child care assistance, housing stabilization services, autism/early intervention, and more. This is being described as one of the largest autism fraud cases ever charged in the district.
The Infamous “Learing Center” and Daycare Fraud
One of the most visible names in the latest charges is Fahima Egeh Mahamud, owner/CEO of Future Leaders Early Learning Center in Minneapolis. She faces new federal charges tied to roughly $4.6 million in alleged child care fraud — while already charged in the Feeding Our Future scandal.

Mahamud’s center was already under heavy scrutiny. Viral videos from investigator Nick Shirley exposed apparently empty or barely operational daycares in south Minneapolis — most notoriously the Quality Learning Center, widely mocked online as the “Quality Learing Center” because of its misspelled sign.

Dramatic Arrests and the Bigger Picture
Another striking case: Muhammad Abdulqadir Omar, charged with ~$3.3 million in fraudulent Housing Stabilization Services claims. He allegedly jumped from a fourth-floor balcony during an FBI arrest attempt before being captured.
These latest cases are heavily concentrated in Rep. Ilhan Omar’s 5th Congressional District. Minnesota continues to lead the nation in these large-scale social services fraud investigations, with total estimated losses across programs running into the hundreds of millions — and potentially billions.
The Bigger Picture: Systemic Failure
This isn’t isolated. It’s a pattern of loosely supervised government programs with billions in taxpayer dollars flowing with weak oversight — ghost kids in daycares, fake services, and money allegedly diverted for personal gain.
The sentencing of Aimee Bock to more than 41 years and these fresh indictments on the same day send a clear message: accountability is finally catching up.
Minnesota residents and American taxpayers deserve real services for those who need them — and real consequences for those who steal from the system.
Justice is arriving. More is expected.
