What is Good for America?

What's Good for America?
What's Good for America?

MAGA has been a hot-button for debate ever since Donald Trump popularized the phrase for his 2016 presidential campaign. Many revile the movement while others resolutely support it and even wear the moniker proudly. Making America great would seem to be a worthy goal to most (though some extremists disagree), but it raises the question, "What is really good for America?"

Trump's aggressive rhetoric and blustering personality aside, we can ask if his policies promote the welfare of the country or not.

Is it better to:

a) Close our borders and export illegal immigrants

or

b) Let in unvetted millions and give them free services, nearly bankrupting formerly prosperous states like California?

Should we:

a) Support endless wars in far-flung parts of Europe

or

b) Focus on where American lives are being lost?

Does it serve Americans better to:

a) Rebuild our economy by bringing jobs back to America

or

b) Keep sending jobs and money overseas and surrendering our national security to threats from those who control our supply lines?

America was once great. We are still big, but we have lost much of the greatness that began shortly after our own Civil War. That greatness came to a tipping point in the First World War, only to be exemplified by how we rescued the free world in WWII. We then showed our largess by rebuilding the nations who had been destroyed, even our enemies Germany and Japan.

Until Donald Trump started remaking the world stage by asserting American sovereignty against the globalists, we had been in a decades-long slide toward dependence and servitude. By standing up for America's best interests, and expecting other leaders to do the same, he is dethroning the global interests who have tried to pit us against China and Russia, and even our neighbor to the North.

MAGA threatens huge special interests, including the military establishment (hence the vicious attacks on Pete Hegseth), Big Pharma (who target RFK Jr. as extreme), Big Agribusiness (also RFK Jr.) and Big Insurance (hence Wall Street's buy-in on bashing Trump).

I wonder about people claiming that Trump is in it for the greedy billionaires when he's done so much to alienate the big money interests. If he's doing it for the fat cats, he's doing a terrible job.

I'm not saying he's perfect. But he's making big, bold bets on the American Worker. He's taking huge risks. He could do things that are instantly more popular, but he's playing the long game. His biggest risk is that the American public will continue to listen to the lamestream media and their tired, bought-and-paid-for hit pieces.

We need to stop supporting the politicians who want to keep borrowing their way to political power at our expense. Look at what Trump is accomplishing. By bringing in trillions of dollars via tariffs and foreign investments, he's reestablishing our economy on strength and independence. Shouldn't we support someone who is making the bold moves and big bets to bring money back into this country – someone who is creating an economy based on production and not manipulation? They have been selling off our prosperity and our sovereignty for a generation. It's time to stop them. As Americans, we should stop believing the lies and trying to make the Europeans admire us. Let's focus on what is truly good for our country.

Let's all decide to be great again, together!
