Dr. Robert Clancy Links Excess Deaths to COVID Vaccines

“In Japan they were able to [show] that ALL the excess deaths were in the vaccinated group… for over 20 million Japanese people… They found that the peak mortality was 100 days after vaccination.” — Dr. Robert Clancy, Australian immunologist and emeritus professor.

“Andrew Madrid’s analysis of all-cause deaths reveals a clear link between vaccination and rising mortality, with tens of thousands of excess deaths in Australia. Studies from both Japan and Australia confirm that mortality peaks around 100 days after vaccination, strongly indicating that vaccines are a primary cause of the excess deaths.” — Dr. Robert Clancy on Andrew Madrid’s independent statistical analysis.

These are strong claims from researchers examining data from countries with widespread, repeated mRNA COVID-19 vaccine adoption. Japan and Australia both achieved high vaccination rates (Japan averaging over 3 doses per person) and later recorded significant excess mortality not fully explained by COVID-19 deaths alone.

Background on the Source Data

Japan: The country maintained detailed national statistics through the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The opinion piece by Hideki Kakeya et al. (JMA Journal, 2025) highlighted excess deaths exceeding 1,400 per million in 2023 — roughly three times the U.S. rate at the time — with COVID-19 accounting for only about 10%. Dr. Clancy has referenced broader analyses of datasets covering approximately 18–21 million people, showing excess deaths concentrated in vaccinated groups with a consistent 90–120 day lag after booster campaigns.

Australia: Independent statistician Andrew Madrid analyzed Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) all-cause mortality data. His modeling, reviewed by Clancy, identified tens of thousands of excess deaths in 2022–2023 that aligned temporally with major booster rollouts, again showing peaks around 90–100 days post-vaccination.

Both researchers point to highly vaccinated populations with relatively controlled early-pandemic COVID impacts as a kind of natural experiment for observing potential vaccine-related effects.

Their Key Findings

Clancy and Madrid argue that the temporal patterns, dose-related trends, and concentration of excess deaths in vaccinated cohorts support a causal link to repeated mRNA vaccinations. They cite biologically plausible mechanisms, such as immune modulation.

These observations align with the Kakeya paper’s call to investigate non-COVID factors in post-vaccination excess mortality.

Cause for Concern — But Not Conclusive

These findings do raise legitimate and serious concerns. In nations that embraced aggressive vaccination campaigns, the appearance of sustained excess deaths — particularly with consistent post-booster timing — cannot be casually dismissed. The public has every right to expect full transparency.

However, these findings are not conclusive proof of widespread causation. The Kakeya publication is an opinion piece based primarily on aggregate national trends. Madrid’s work represents independent statistical modeling. Official data from both countries often attribute excess mortality to a mix of factors: COVID waves, healthcare disruptions, delayed care, aging populations, and other variables. Neither analyses, while impressive, were rigorous, peer reviewed studies with fully disclosed or documented methodolgies.

The Responsible Path Forward

The patterns identified by Clancy and Madrid justify urgent, unbiased, and transparent scientific investigation. This should include full public release of de-identified individual-level data and independent studies free from conflicts.

Excess deaths are a measurable reality in many countries post-2021. Shasta Unfiltered believes the public deserves open debate.
