Cottonwood Farmers Market Season Finale Show & Shine Crowns Winners, Closes Inaugural 2026 Season
Classic cars, motorcycles, and a festive community atmosphere filled Cottonwood Community Center Park on Sunday, October 18, as the Cottonwood Certified Farmers Market wrapped its first season with the Season Finale Show & Shine.
The free event, co-hosted by the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce and Cottonwood Community Center, ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 20595 Gas Point Rd. Vehicle owners checked in early, and all makes, models, and motorcycles were welcome. Awards were presented at 12:30 p.m.
Show & Shine winners:
- People’s Choice: Fred Loveland — 1934 Ford Fordor
- Kid’s Choice: John Duckett — 1941 Dodge WC16 Command Car (U.S. Army WWII)
- Farmers Market Favorite: Travis Rodrigues — 1967 Chevy Nova
Market organizers thanked everyone who came out to admire the vehicles and cast votes, along with the owners who made the inaugural car show a highlight of the final market day.
Beyond the chrome and engines, the finale offered plenty of family fun: live music by Omnificent from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Yoga in the Park at 9 a.m. with Amy Kart, a cornhole tournament, kids’ carnival games, Trick-or-Treating at vendor booths, a kids’ coloring contest, and free pumpkins for children who completed a stamp card (while supplies lasted). Shoppers found the usual mix of fresh local produce, flowers, honey, baked goods, handcrafted items, food, and coffee from community vendors.
The day closed out the 2026 season that began with weekly markets featuring local farmers, makers, bakers, and small businesses. Organizers expressed gratitude to vendors, volunteers, partners, and attendees for supporting the market’s first year.
