Fundraising Dinner & Live Auction to Support 2nd Amendment Lawsuit.

Mark Baird and the Legal Fund to Restore 2nd Amendment Rights & Open Carry in California are hosting a Fundraising Dinner and Live Auction. Organizers highlight a recent Ninth Circuit ruling in Baird v. Bonta as a “historic victory,” noting the case is now headed toward the U.S. Supreme Court. The flyer states: “Rights Do Not Require Permission. Rights Are God Given!” and emphasizes the need for continued financial support to finish the fight.

Arthur Gorman Campaign Fundraiser Dinner

Arthur Gorman, seeking re-election to the Shasta County Board of Education for Area 2, is hosting a dinner featuring great food, prize drawings, a live auction, and community fellowship. The cashless event focuses on his platform of academic excellence, parent partnership, and accountability in local schools.

Strike-Out! Domestic Violence Bowl-a-Thon

Saturday, August 15 • 4:30–7:30 PM Shasta Lanes, 11093 Black Marble Way, Redding

This annual event, co-hosted by the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office and Raising Shasta, raises funds for Camp HOPE—an evidence-based camping and mentoring program for local children and teens who have experienced trauma, including the effects of domestic violence.

Participants can form teams of up to five bowlers ($250 per team) or join as individuals ($50). The evening includes unlimited bowling, a gift-basket raffle, food and drinks, team awards, and a Tiki/Luau theme (costumes encouraged). North State Giving Tuesday

Tuesday, December 1 • 6:00 AM–8:00 PM (online) northstategives.org

Organized by the Community Foundation of the North State, this 14-hour online giving event supports nonprofits across Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, Trinity, and Modoc counties. Last year’s event raised more than $1.4 million for over 200 participating organizations. Nonprofits can still register through late September.
