U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to Prioritize Treatment and Work Over Permanent Housing – HUD Secretary Scott Turner stated on Fox Business program that the root problem of homelessness is mental illness and drug addiction/drug abuse.  He wants to restore accountability to a system that has been a has been a slush fund for nonprofits around the country who were being rewarded for the more people they have in their system. 

President Donald Trump on Friday, November 14, 2025, rolled back tariffs on more than 200 food products, including beef, tomatoes, bananas, and coffee, as Americans struggle with the high cost of groceries. The new exemption also covers a wide range of tropical foods such as mangoes, avocados, coconuts, pineapples, cocoa, and spices.
